I picked this book up and couldn't put it down, an absolutely fantastic read. I lived in the Centenary farming area during those days and what a flood of memories! Can't wait for volume 2!!!!
Author takes the troubled times in Rodhesia and turns them into exciting fiction that closely follows history. Great read. Looking forward to number 2.

I loved this book! I could almost smell the dusty heat and hear the crickets in the long grasses whilst reading this on a cold and wet English weekend. Beautifully written, I was completely engaged by the characters and am now waiting in eagre anticipation for the next book!
Enjoyable read - particularly graphic and well done descriptive writing of a sad time in the history of Africa . . .
The story realistically rekindled memories of the bush, life on the farm, the drinks trolley, sumptuous early morning breakfasts, Peugeot station wagons and the war.

I have been waiting three years for Book 2!
Having been a member of the territorial army for 8 years in Rhodesia and having spent most of my time in the Mount Darwin,Mkumbura, Mvuradona areas I can truthfully say that this book is the closest to reality that I have read and that includes the farmers getting revved!!
I anxiously await part 2.
